Faris' Milestones - At Birth

Ellooo.... Tomorrow is Faris' first month bday. Gud news...his umbilical cord stump jatuh hari yg ke-5. Yeayy!!! dah tak risau sgt bila nak usik or sapu losyen kat bhgn perut. And...benjol atau bengkak kat atas kepala sebelah kanan sudah hilang just in 3weeks only. My friend's maid suruh usap2 bhgn benjol sambil baca surah Alamnasrah. Plus, everyday mak tuam that area.

Nampak tak kepala sebelah kanan tu mcm benjol sikit...

Here, Faris can/has....

Physically and mentally
• Puffy, slightly distorted facial features
• Conical head (due to passage through birth canal in a normal delivery) (yess!! at the right side)
• Uneven or odd-looking hair
• Two soft areas on the crown of the head (will eventually harden as baby grows) (yess!!)
• Quivering limbs and tight-fisted hands
• Bowed legs, drawn against the tummy
• Splotchy skin
• Prominent belly with a vertical line running down the abdomen (this will soon fade)
• Developed senses but not to the range of an older child (yess!!)
• Ability to recognise mother’s voice and scent (amazing but true!) (of course laaa!!)
• Inability to focus both eyes on an object (yess!!)
• Preference for black-and-white patterns (yess!!)
• Sensitivity to sounds, light and temperature (yess!!)

Feeding
• Taking only small amounts of milk at every meal ( 1hour - 2hour kena nursing tu small amount ke?)

Sleep
Your baby should be sleeping for at least 16 to 18 hours a day (yess!! yess!!)
